Meet Olive

Olive, our resident miniature dachshund and Chief Comfort Officer III, has a personality that is much larger than her little (but long) body! Her affectionate nature, floppy ears and big brown eyes brighten everyone’s day and make her the center of attention wherever she goes.

Olive was only nine weeks old when she met her human mom on a farm back in 2017, and she has been a city girl ever since. They first lived together in Baltimore, then moved to Philadelphia two years later so they could live with her human dad. Since then, she has taken a part-time job as a guard dog for her parents, standing watch at the back door and barking at the squirrels and other moving objects in the area.

She is paid in treats and has put in several complaints about being underpaid.

When she is not on the clock, Olive enjoys playing indoor fetch, pulling all the stuffing out of her toys to make them as inefficient for fetch as possible, burrowing under blankets and pillows, and snuggling up on laps.
